Production Designer Peter Walpole was originally known as one of the UK’s most respected and sought-after Set Decorators. He has worked with many notable Directors, but it is his collaboration with Lana & Lilly Wachowski on nine separate projects, starting as Set Decorator, Supervising Art Director and moving to Production Designer, that he is most proud of.

Peter production designed Sense8: The Finale ("Amor Vincit Omnia”) as a two-and-a-half hour movie and a closure to the popular TV series. It was shot in Naples, Paris, Belgium and Berlin, directed by Lana Wachowski and produced by Grant Hill.

Peter has worked in over 30 countries across the globe from England to Australia, on such films including Star Wars, A Phantom Menace & Attack of the Clones, Alien Vs Predator, V for Vendetta, Speed Racer, Cloud Atlas, Jason Bourne and the highly acclaimed Netflix television series Sense8.

Recently, Peter was hired as the Production Designer on the Amazon/Amblin project, Cortés, which was set in 1520.  After six months of intensive research, set designs and location scouting in and around Mexico City, the project was put on hold.

Peter was then available to continue his collaboration with Lana Wachowski on the The Matrix 4. As the co-Production Designer, he has spent 18 months designing and shooting in San Francisco and Berlin.

Peter won the Best Production Design for Sense8 – The Finale from the British Film Designs Guild. He has also been nominated for an Emmy for his work on Dinatopia and received a nomination from the Art Directors Guild (ADG) for his work on Cloud Atlas.
